Barber Training Program enables the successful graduate to meet the minimum requirement to take the VA State exam for the Barber Training License. Passage of this practical exam permits licensing, employment as a Licensed Barber, and qualifies the holder to own a barbershop, in which he or she can employ individuals as Apprentice Barbers.

The Program classically trains students in Hair cutting and a broad range of the latest hair styles for men and women:

• Clipper Cutting
• Shears-over-comb Techniques
• Shampooing
• Facial Massage
• Shaving
• Shop Management, Ethics
• Preparation for State Board Exam, State Law, Proper Methods of Sterilization, Sanitation, Hygiene, and Common Skin Disorders
• Preparation for Job Interviews and Licensing.

Graduates are assisted by our school to obtain an Apprentice Barber Registration and therefore they can be gainfully employed immediately after graduation, even while waiting to take the State exam.

KCM BARBER SCHOOL ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

1. Social Security Card
2. High School Diploma (HSD) or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
   – If you have a HSD from a foreign country, you have to submit notarized translation and copy of the original document
3. Proof of Address
4. Photo Identification

TOTAL COST AND METHOD OF PAYMENT

The total cost of the program, including a non-refundable registration fee and tuition is $4500.00. The student will be responsible for the purchase of barbering tools, and uniform prior to the start of classes. Complete Student Tool Kits can be purchased directly from KCM Barber School for $575 or any barber supply. A list of acceptable tools and textbook will be provided.

TUITION PAYMENT PLAN

American Barber Institute offers students a Tuition Payment Plan that allows students to pay while they attend school. Upon registration, students will pay a $750 tuition down payment. Balance then can be paid $160.00 each week for the next fourteen weeks to pay off their balance.
